hurricanemk1c 195
Hi all, A few of the snaps taken from my recent trip to the UK to relax after exams. The first batch is from Newark Air Museum, on the former RAF Winthorpe site and part of the Newark Showground. Included is the little flypast by the RAF Hercules: https://www.flickr.com/photos/111752039@N08/sets/72157645289964188/ Thanks for looking! Kieran

Paul K 22
Great pictures, Kieran. By the look of it, the Hastings has received a lick of paint since I was there.
SEATAC 400
I thought you meant Newark, NJ. Don't you guys have cities or towns that are not named after some place in the U.S.A.
allardjd 1,853
Great photos, Chuck. I think I see one shot with V1 components. John
hurricanemk1c 195
Thanks folks @Richard - we'll try to come up with more original place names if you also do @John - correct, there were V-1 bits there, as well as parts from a crashed Lancaster. There will be more German rocketry in the near future when I upload the shots I took at Cosford the next day

rob16584 42
Great shots Kieran. I've not been the Newark for years, can you still go inside the Vulcan cockpit?
hurricanemk1c 195
If there is volunteers there that have been 'trained' in Health and Safety, the Vulcan could be open. Same as the Shack and the Hastings. On 'Open Cockpit Days' I imagine they are all open. I went into the Vulcan in 2008 and the Hastings in 2010
