Andy Martin 0
When in slew mode on the ground i can move my aircraft with my saitek joystick rapidly but if im at altitude the slew movement is incredibly slow. Does anyone know why this is? Regards Andy
ddavid 149
I think Einstein's theory of relativity comes into play at high altitudes? That, and the fact that the ground is so far away, it doesn't look like you're moving. Try the Top Down View (F12) for rapid Slewing, maybe that'll do the trick? Cheers - Dai. mutley 4,497
Hi Andy, Altitude shouldn't make any difference to the actual speed, it's probably because the relative velocity appears slower the higher you get. I think it's called kinematics? Cheers
mutley 4,497
Great minds Dai we were answering at the same time
ddavid 149
Ah, but you didn't mention Einstein, did you?!? Ciao - Dai.
allardjd 1,853
Joe's right - top down view should give you a good indication of how fast you are actually moving. Also, turn on the Shft-Z information on the top-left of the screen and the IAS will show the rate of slew movement. John
