brett 2,315
Wish I was going to Florida. Thanks for the shots, the first ones made me chilly.
Captain Coffee 2,030
Surprised airplanes don't get more cracks thanks to all the temperature changes they must endure...and that's without a pilot maliciously taking it directly from Winter to Spring. Very nice shots there. The first set remind me of the weather for my first Airhauler flights with my new A2A Cherokee...for some dumb reason I chose to start a company in Milwaukee? /bonks head

But all airplanes go through those extreme temperature changes if they fly at those altitudes. Even those that fly from Miami to Hawaii.

Even from a Summer Climb to another Summer clime, they go through huge temp changes. I know from USAF days that the biggies get "xrayed"/scanned (forget the process...not xrays obviously) for metal cracks during their scheduled inspections...but how often do they actually find cracking/metal fatigue during regular maintenance checks? I was an Instrument guy...I don't know...just wondering.
dodgy-alan 1,587
I bet the Skipper of the Aurigney flight got a shock when he landed and thought, "this sure isn't Jersey!" Nice work.
