Sabre 28
A bit of a blast from the past as it's been a good while since I've been around these parts. Just wanted to drop by say hello and wish everyone well. For various reasons I've been away from FSX although I still fly in Cliffs of Dover quite regularly. Anyway I decided the bank holiday weekend was a good time to lift the dust covers and get FSX and its huge amount of addons back up to date; I never did uninstall as somehow I knew I'd be back. It's good to see the same old faces still here and that Mutley's is a s strong as ever. Best Regards

dodgy-alan 1,587
Welcome back Sabre, we thought you'd got shot down and baled out over enemy territory! Either that or bingoed on fuel and followed MH370 into the sea!
needles 1,013
Nice to see you back Graeme and glad you're still flying. Hope all is well with you.

brett 2,316
Hi Graeme, long time no see. Happy to see you back, I was reading some past posts recently and saw some of your posts and wondered where you have been. My first guess was correct, killing off the enemy.
Sabre 28
Thanks for the warm welcome back everyone. Nothing anybody said Joe, just all that real life stuff got in the way of the flying at the time. Didn't do anything much at all on the PC for quite a while and then I did stuff that didn't take up much time. Anyway it's all history now, kids are up now too so a good bit more time. I've jumped back in the deep end with the Alaska and California ORBX scenery, throw in some new airports and a swanky new A2A 182 (fantastic first impressions) and I've got plenty of exploring to do. I'll have to take a look and see if I can get SAD up and running again in Air Hauler. Just looked back at some of the threads in Air Hauler - good times. Also the Real Ale Tour haha enjoyed that. What's the general consensus on ORBX UK scenery? I've got quite a lot of the Horizon Photo Scenery installed but did not know whether to switch. Hope everyone is fit and healthy Cheers Graeme

brett 2,316
...... What's the general consensus on ORBX UK scenery? I've got quite a lot of the Horizon Photo Scenery installed but did not know whether to switch. ...... Now that is a loaded question. If you want a colorful scenery that is easy on the eyes I would highly recommend it. You will not see your house but roads, rivers and towns are all in the right spot. See Rob Scotts review http://mutleyshangar.com/reviews/rob/ftxeng/ftxeng.htm I have the whole lot, England, Scotland and Wales and haven't been disappointed. I will add that I never had the other sceneries for this area so I am speaking one-sided. One thing I did do before purchase was to view reviews and screenshots of all possible scenery choices but having the FTX-PNWest already and liking it, decidd to go the ORBX/FTX route. Since then I have also purchased FTXGlobal, Vector and Mesh products for worldwide improvement to flying.
