Captain Coffee 2,030
It didn't look all that far I thought..."I bet I can Spit across it". Leaving EGHI Southhampton...Latest ORBx sale purchase...had to pick up Mutley's Hangar since it was on sale . Glad my Spit has wings...looks further than I thought originally. 12,500 ft over the Channel Approaching LFPD, Bernay, France...getting a bit misty over here. Must be Spitfire Nostalgia. Kicking up some French soil with a relatively cool motor, straight props, and fully down gear...liking this 'IIa" model.
Captain Coffee 2,030
erm...wtf...are images not showing up for you folks? (not sure, but may just be Photobucket being slow this morning...hopefully they show up soon.)

brett 2,316
That was one hell of a spit, pretty impressive. Nice shots of this camouflaged icon, makes me want to fly.
Captain Coffee 2,030
Phew...just a pokey Photobucket this morning. It was a quite pretty and relatively short flight, only about 130ish miles iirc. Temps were a bit chilly and the Spit never threatened to get too warm. This was actually the first flight in a Spit since i bashed the hell out of that poor bird with the undercarriage collapse. Nice to get back on the horse and have a good day out. Thanks for comments all.
