dodgy-alan 1,587
Grumman OV-1 Mohawk. Originally a joint aircraft between the US Army and the US Marines, the USMC quickly pulled out of the deal and the Army developed the aircraft on their own. It was felt that FAC and COIN aircraft currently in use were too vulnerable and the result of the developemnt was the OV-1. It remains in service in some parts of the world but was retired from the US Army in 1996! Not a bad record for an aircraft that first flew in April 1959. Various versions were built but it quickly lost its attack armament as the USAF protested at the US Army having an offensive air capability! It became best well known for carrying the big Side Looking Airborne Radar (SLAR). These models are a mix of FSX and FS9 freeware aircraft. more info here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumman_OV-1_Mohawk Thanks for viewing.

Captain Coffee 2,030
Cool looking plane. Thanks for sharing. Does it have a nice looking VC? If so it looks like something I would enjoy.

There is a decent VC....if you can get the instruments to appear. For some reason I cannot do so and have had to drop the panel from something else in their so that I can fly the aircraft. I've probably done something wrong when I installed the models. Its a shame becaise it is a nicely detailed cockpit with great views al round.
