wisemanp 0
Yay. I did take an hour or two looking...but it was the Southern Cross on the tail of the aircraft that meant it had to be Australia or NZ,... I will post later, as it seems we are going to see if this flypast rehearsal happens today!

CyprusAirwaysA330 0
I would of thought that, but the lake isn't right. Besides, Geneva has runway 23, which this one isnt.
wisemanp 0
More pics on their way in a bit, as photobucket's just gone down  Clue: A few days ago in following of a major sporting event you would have landed here. Study all areas of the picture and you will notice a geographical feature we are close to.
wisemanp 0
Here's another pic to help...
mutley 4,498
The sporting event can't be Euro 2008 because that was Austria/Switzerland and I can see the sea in the background
wisemanp 0
Mut, you are correct with the sea. The sporting event is as old as powered flight, but not quite as fast.

wisemanp 0
Dai, you are of course, correct! Is that a young Marc Overmars I see on that programme cover? For anyone who didn't know, the Tour De France cycle race had a stange finish in Nantes earlier this week, hence the 'famous sporting event as old as powered flight' Hopefully you can see the sea (Bay of Biscay) in one picture and the river (Loire) in the other.
