mutley 4,495
Something to while away your winter nights. Taking it's data from FlightRadar, the LuciadRIA Traffic Analysis map visualises every global flight that took place in the 24 hours between January 13 and 14, 2015. You can filter by airport, airlines or country etc http://3d.luciad.com/ Here's a snapshot of Easyjet at 07:42. Enjoy

Captain Coffee 2,030
If you don't use J. Allard's airport diagrams...this is a good way to visualize/learn where the patterns are over an airport...in general. I found it interesting how much 'variation' there is in those patterns, esp the south approach to SFO which I watched hypnotized for some time...seems when a plane is coming down from the north, the size of the loop they make on downwind/base/final to 28R/28L varies a lot. (Aircraft size? Pilot's Choice? ATC directions?) Very neat stuff. Sorry Joe, I have no direct link to coffee, unless you roast your own: www.sweetmarias.com
