Tahoe Thunderbolt

Recommended Posts

Something like my 4th or 5th landing in a new to me A2A P47D Thunderbolt...at KTVL.

Great sounding plane.

It really feels in the handling like this plane has the extra weight compared to their P40 and certainly their Spitfire.

Need to figure out the booster and power settings. I don't think I am getting as much speed out of this as I could.

I feel like I'm flying a Harley Davidson and wondering if a piston (or two) fell off ...but it sure Sounds awesome! :D

Please note that I have replaced all the damaged runway lights, they will be working just fine should you fly into KTVL anytime soon...unless you are following shortly after me on an approach.

Cheers.

Thanks guys. The A2A WWII birds are extremely satisfying to fly. Sounds, VC details, Easy on Framerates...all great...and yeah...the quirks.

I finally opened up the checklist provided with the aircraft package, and found out where I dropped those missing cylinders, it was indeed unfamiliarity with the booster function...and fears of flying at over 40 mp...no worries, 42 continuous is normal, and 52 is max (57 emergency)...should get a bit more speed easily knowing that. :D I have been flying at cruise.
