That top tier of small cables is generally a ground to drain away charge and lessen the chance of lightning strikes. The larger conductors lower down are the energy carriers. If he bridged two of them or one and any ground (upper cables, a tower or the earth itself) the outcome would have been less happy, but infinitely more spectacular. Link to post Share on other sites
