simi_av8r 0
i'm not sure how many of you know where i've been the past few weeks whilst waiting for my basic training to start back at RAF Halton, so for the benefit of all i've been learning the ways of life on a real base... RAF Brize Norton - home to 101, 99 and 216 squadrons, as well as the Para training school and many others! Our 3 weeks ended with an unexpected surprise when we arrived for 'work' on Thursday morning.... we (me and 2 others) were goin up on a scheduled AAR flight over the North sea! Right, enough bumbling from me.... i'll start uploading the photos....keep an eye on this space!

simi_av8r 0
thanks David, appreciated. The flight was great, went by so fast that we never realised that we'd spent almost 5 hours up there! The French mirages were a very unexpected arrival, we were up to re-fuel 3 Tonkas, 4 'Phoons and a C130. The Herc called the rz off at last minute and we stayed about for a 'phoon that didn't show and unloaded the fuel to the two French aircraft!
