Bowerman KHQM to Eastsound KORS

Today I fly from my southerly base in Washington state, to carry around 1500 lbs of computers to Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. It is one of the very few times I had a good visibility and a fair weather there since I opened this base last September.

It is around 12 o'clock when I climb in the Cessna C208b Caravan for a check list and warm up.

Take off over the ocean from runway 24, then I make a wide right turn to heading 46° towards intersection point CARRO.

As my flight plan goes around the Olympic mountains, I climb to 5500 ft. I've asked Seattle control for a flight following, there is an awful lot of traffic in the area. First visual clue on the way, Sanderson airport KSHN.

There are a few clouds over the mainland, but I can see Mount Rainier on my right.

After a fifty minutes flight, I am over NDB OPZ on Lopez Island , for a direct path to runway 34 in KORS, 13 nm away in front of me. ( Wind 6 knots at 312° )

The runway is directly ahead as I fly over Mount Woolard in the south of the island.

The landing is easy with this beautiful weather, I leave the runway and taxi to the parking for delivery.
