Jersey re-visited in HD scenery

Recommended Posts

GE have moved on with their latest images for Jersey. My home made photo real scenery has been made in 30 cm per Pix and flying at 500 feet looks very good. In fact dare I say its far better than the Bing images!!

Thanks for your positive feed back. I just realized that the folder is not too big so I can We Transfer it to those of not too a nervous disposition if any forum member would like a copy. I should point out that it does not have a water mask just my simple method of painting in a similar colour to my FSX default blue so the "Water Effects" slider in FSX should be switched off.

The new GE imagery is great for the land, but awful for any type of good watermasking.  It's easy to see all the areas of sea that have been stitched together from multiple images, resulting in there being no consistency to the water imagery at all :(  What version is the mapserver up to now please? :P

This looks great! I'm very often flying to Jersey if I need a break from life so would be interested in this, there isn't a great deal out there other than stuff covered vaguely by FTX Global which, being global isn't as accurate as it could be.
