Simconnect

I am trying to understand the limitations of Simconnect. 

I have one simconnect software device on my FS PC and want to connect two simconnect software devices on a second PC.  I seem to be having problems connecting the remote PC.

 

Software is:

Fs pc HID macros

Remote Pc Plan-G and Panel Builder Guages

 

I use P3D v3

 

Any advice please?

I had nothing but trouble with simconnect..

Opted for WideFS in the end.

Just to follow up on Joe's post. To get simconnect running over the network. 

 

1. Install the same simconnect module you have on your main pc on the client. For extra safety you can install all versions, but in theory installing the same version should work. 

2. Create a simconnect.cfg file using joes link and place in you 'docs' folder of the client PC.

3. Check you have a simconnect.ini file in your fsx/p3d app data folder. Make sure you have the right IP address of your machine.the the file isn't there, create one using notepad++ and copy the info found in joe's link. Save it as simconnect.ini. 

 

As long as the info matches in the cfg and ini files, you should be good to go.
