dodgy-alan 1,587
Tupolevs mighty TU-95. Still one of the coolest heavy bombers ever............with a soundtrack that is unmistakable. A mix of FSX and FS9 shots showing off this legendary aircraft. Спасибо за будущее.
hifly 925
It's just those Bear necessities. Legend has it that they were heard before they appeared on radar. Great shots Al.
brett 2,316
If you see that baby coming in to land you best be well before the hold line. Nice shots of this huge aircraft Alan, thanks for the look.
allardjd 1,853
Yeah, it's been a success for them by any measure - their B-52 in a way, but much more because they use it for maritime patrol and other things too - not strictly a strategic bomber. I understand it's reputation for being unbelievably noisy both in and out of the aircraft is well deserved. The counter-rotating props are, of course, one of the big culprits in that. It still holds the record for the most powerful turboprop engines ever produced, at 16,000 shp each. A distant second place goes to the A400M from the busboys, at a mere 11,000 shp each. When you get to a certain altitude or low temps the screen ices up. You have to find the de-ice button PDQ! .. especially fun as all the labels are in Russian! Nice effect though.
