wain 879
A bunch of shots from the Antares 20E glider that I picked up.......seems to handle fine....the looks are great and because there is not a lot going on the settings can be turned up a bit....it has an electric motor this will give you 13 minutes max power to climb to approx 10000ft @ 730ft/min... I cant get the hang of the tow from the Stinson but have enjoyed the gliding once I get up there..... hooked up and chargeing testing the speedbrakes function... switched on and ready to go.... not switched on... graceful...... gliding seems so relaxed.... Captain Coffee 2,030
That is a sleek sexy looking slippy thing. Is that available for FSX? Who makes it? Love the retractable main wheel. Since falling in love with my ASK21, I have been looking around youtube at various motorgliders, there are some sweet machines out there. I saw one that had side by side seating, retractable "standard side by side twin front gear", and a 41:1 glide ratio in glider mode...wow. Hope to see more of these things in dev's offerings. brett 2,316
Thanks for the looksee Wayne, nice looking aircraft but seems a bit of gauge stays lit when the battery is off.
wain 879
Matt it is done by Aerobask, I think they just do XP stuff. Brett the power is on in both shots the bottom guage shows power etc but the GPS is what I had turned on and off, my mistake...

Captain Coffee 2,030
Quote it has an electric motor this will give you 13 minutes max power to climb to approx 10000ft @ 730ft/min I think I prefer my gas motor with 6.2 gallons of fuel . It only uses about .4 gallons to get to 10,000ft @ aprox 500 fpm (I assume, I've never had to use it much over 5,000 feet ). It can basically go as far as you can stay awake. If the Antares wing was skinned in solar cells and able to provide a decent recharge rate...this might be capable of being a (confident) touring plane. I don't think I'd like to schedule any AH2 Pax flights in a plane with a 13 minute Max power window though (yeah yeah...probably 30+ minutes at economy power...still...weak ;p ) Pretty thing though...
