hurricanemk1c 195
Great shots there Mut! I wouldn't uninstall FS9 as I can only just use FSX due to frames in the 6's at a empty airport
mutley 4,498
That's a real shame, I always get a real smooth flight but I don't fly complex tubeliners or have the settings maxed out so maybe that does make some difference? I am just lovin' FSX at the moment
rob16584 42
I've been using FSX for just over a year now, I bought a new PC to be able to cope with it but no regrets! Only now do I feel that I have got the set up right. I have a default set up with the settings so I can just get in and go, but have different set ups if I am flying to/from major airports or VFRing around Alaska. All my airliner add-ons are fine around the airports with the FPS, apart from the ASV1. I think this must be something to do with how Wilco design things because other add-ons I have of theirs have the same effect in FS9 (apart from the C208) I run FS9 on the same machine and have the settings maxed out and get mega fluid frame rates. Im not sure what they can get up to, but I have capped them at 30fps. I use FSX mainly for VFR flying at the moment and use FS9 mainly for my VA flights. I think I get the best of both worlds doing it this way; Great eye candy when flying low down in FSX, but good reliability and a stable set-up from FS9
vacs007 0
For me it is FS9 for a few months longer, FSX not quit there yet for me, and FS9 still has a lot of mile in it yet. But I am planning my new system already for FSX.
rosariomanzo 545
Impressive shots Mut. I mainly use FS9, sometimes FSX, even if I have already purchased some complex addons for it (PMDG MD11 is the last one), planning to upgrade in the near future. Ciao! reef 3
Great shots Joe. I feel the rather massive sun spoils them a little as the lighting is not reflecting a sunrise very well. I agree FSX can be really nice but still i cling to FS9 for its top end freeware. Soon though i reckon it will go, once my FSX has a few more addons. steve
