Flight Sim 2017

I've been given a 5 disc set for Christmas by my Father in Law entitled, FlightSim 2017. No information with it, no packaging , just the 5 discs in sleeves which he apparently bought on line. I know nothing about the sim, how much space it needs, op system etc. Is it compatible with other formats? I haven't loaded it yet until I find out more about it. Can anyone help? I have a vague recollection of having been sent an email advertising this.  I thought it was a scam at the time and deleted it. I did this on the grounds that here was a new Flight Sim that the FS community hasn't heard of.  That's not going to happen.

 

Other readers may know more than me...

 

Thoroughly virus check each disk if you put them anywhere near your PC

Still dubious I think.  I am very suspicious of headings like "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2017 Genuine Review". Why put genuine in the statement?  It smacks of "Democratic People's Republic of Korea" which we all know has no democracy.

It's another name for this Al http://www.proflightsimulator.com/ and this http://www.virtualpilot3d.com/ Both of them are a rip off from the open source http://www.flightgear.org/

 

The words "touch" and "bargepole" come to mind, unfortunately for anyone not into flight sim the hype may convince them to buy.

Thanks Guys, He bought it off Ebay which set my alarm bells ringing straight away. I had a feeling it was something a bit dodgy. I know he means well so won't tell him he's been ripped off. I'll just file it with all the other Sims he keeps finding!
