dodgy-alan 1,587
Took one of the beautiful Heinkel HE-51s up for a winter sortie over Bulgaria, weather was cold but pleasant enough to fly in. The HE-51 was built in the mid-late 1930s inspite of the ban on military aircraft being in place. They served with several axis air forces as well as the Luftwaffe. The German aircraft were retired from frontline operations in 1938 and used as trainers right through WW2. However elsewhere the aircraft saw action on several fronts. The HE-51 was in many ways similar to the British Hawker Fury and the Czech Avia B534. The epitome of the biplane fighters, serving in a world dominated by the monoplane. This model is freeware and has an excellent working VC. She is delightful to fly and surprisingly fast. Very docile on the controls, great handling and yet very stable "hands off".A real pleasure to fly. The model comes with several different liveries and there are a lot more available besides. If you fancy flying this bird the link is here; heinkel_he51.zip Thanks for viewing.
Captain Coffee 2,030
Quite a nice VC in that one. The shots were looking fairly 'Vintage' till those high flying airliner contrails spoiled some of them
