AirHauler2 has a brand new Nomad Mode. We start with One person/One Plane/No Base...and we will stay that way forever wandering the world in search of work. Although we can of course upgrade the aircraft as we are able to financially.

I started out in an A2A PA250 Comanche for it's payload and range, despite it dropping me $20K USD in the red from the start. There is a built in $100K USD buffer/credit we have with the bank that allows us to go into the red at first up to that 100K limit...and I felt the payload and speed would help defray that risk fairly fast if I can avoid banging it up on some random runway that AH doesn't recognize. (Fortunately none were encountered during these sections, trying to stick to asphalt strips will help mitigate that risk considerably initially ).

It's been a flurry of a first three days:

I started out at Sonoma Skypark 0Q9, and flew my first leg to Quincy, Ca. 2Oscar1, then quickly found another load heading to 6CL2 Eagleville, Ca, almost on the border of Nevada in the northern part of the state.

My trip legs so far are: 0Q9 Sonoma Skypark, CA > 2O1 Quincy, CA. > 6CL2 Eagleville, Ca. > 2NV2  Gibb Ranch, NV> 26U McDermmit State, OR > 06U Jackpot/Hayden, NV > 36U Herber City Mun, UT> KGUC Gunnison, CO (bought a load of 500lbs of commodities to trade at...) > KBJC, Denver, CO (Sold watches and picked up 3 pax bound for...) > KLNK Lincoln NE

Seen departing Quincy in this first shot, the rest are in consecutive order but my record keeping is too dodgy to say for certain which was where. :P

This is approaching the Great Salt Lake, UT.

I could have crossed over here, but chose to take a longer route down a narrow valley that connected to it. This is Heber, UT near the Great Salt Lake area.

Gunnison had an interesting approach thanks to my vector and the wind's today. As I need to use 25, I have to fly around that bump to the right of the field.

The mountain ranges were intimidating to say the least between Gunny and Denver. I had to also lengthen my route around here at a couple points to avoid going over 14,000 ft.

Approach to Jeffco KBJC, Broomfield/Denver area.

From Jeffco, I started my longest leg to Lincoln.

Me and my 3 passengers got to know each other well during the long trip...

Yawn, maybe too well...what a long flat trip.

Following the Platte...yawn. "You don't say, uh huh...mmm hmmm. Really? You don't say, uh huh...mm hmmm Really? (lather rinse repeat for 300 miles).

Despite wanting to bash my head into the panel by this time to escape these chatty folks who's convo is limited to 1. Sports, and 2. The weather...a greaser, with seven minutes and 7 gallons to spare.

Cheers,

Coff.

Totally agree Wayne. I have tried the Factory stuff and ended up with piles of shite sitting around and no where Interesting/Nearby/Convenient to sell them...just gave up on all that stuff. The Commodities I use, however the change that lets us click and find the highest and lowest price for a given item is a bit unrealistically simple to find enormous profits in about 4 or 5 clicks on the map... /shrug. Messing around in one of my bigger companies I went from a couple of leased DC-3s to an AI fleet of 4 bought and paid for 747's in a week hauling commodities just around the SF bay area. :D  Who knew...silly me working for years as a ground courier....what a maroon.

you should, adds variety to where you go / end up....I miss it in XP, I haven't tried the old version with XP11......I really do like this NOMAD mode, just gets you randomly flying....

Definetly This.

I would never have flown to Lincoln Nebraska if not for Airhauler. Not that I can recommend a trip to Lincoln, NE... just saying AH got me there. :P

From there I flew to Racine, WI near Milwaukee, and I am currently in Rantoul Illinois, home of the former Chanute AFB where I got my USAF Specialty Training. I made an AdHoc pax flight to it, to visit my old AlmaMater USAF. From there I hope to get a job towards the NYC area, then down to Florida, perhaps a Cuba trip in the near future?
