These days in Italy the temperatures are very hot because of the "Lucifer" anticyclone. Well above 40°C in some places of southern Italy.
What an opportunity to go south and test the resistance of the Spitfire in these conditions!

Ground crew repaired the engine and also installed a new backup for my aircraft :whis:

I see you sorted out the install of that new GPS unit just fine... Enjoy Ros.

 

BTW, you can add this to planes that have no autopilot at all by flipping some zeros in the autopilot section of the aircraft.cfg to  1's....or if necessary, you can paste an entire autopilot section from a plane that has one into a plane that just has a bare autopilot section.

I think on a day like that one would like to push a Spit to the end of the runway, line it up, start up engine and GO as soon as the oil pressure comes up and Mag checks are completed.
