CAT3508 343
Just been watching a crop sprayer low flying over, and around my house for the last half an hour. It's a PZL-Mielec M-18 Dromader, dropping mouse bait over one of my son-in laws 700 acre wheat paddocks. Very very noisy, but fun to watch some good low flying and steep turns. Captain Coffee 2,030
I love watching crop dusters...regrettably I normally see them from the freeway while driving through the valleys, and stopping to watch isn't usually an option. They have perhaps one of the "funnest flying jobs" if defined by "amount of time spent throwing an aircraft around high energy maneuvers"...god that looks like a blast. mutley 4,498
We don't get them over here, well, not that I have seen, but I love flying them in the sim!
Captain Coffee 2,030
I purchased a crop dust simulator not long ago, and it even uses Alabeo's pa34 crop duster... but I became disenchanted with it because it only has a few fields in the Sim that one can crop dust. I'm not even sure where the hell they are actually. If I could set up custom crop duster fields in the Sim wherever I like, I would have the entire Fairfield and Suisun Valley area set up for crop dusting and would be doing it regularly. dodgy-alan 1,587
As Joe says, we don't get them over here apart from use as glider tugs. Still lovely to see though. Southdowns Gliding Club has a beautiful Pawnee that's regularly seen over the area. Edited September 28, 2017 by dodgy-alan
