More JF Piper Arrow III

Recommended Posts

Took this bird up again for a flight across Yorkshire from Full Sutton EGNU to Leeds Bradford EGNM. I grew up in Leeds and had the odd lesson flying out of Leeds Bradford, that was about 25 years ago though.

By the way...as your VC views show well (and I noticed once in the plane itself)...it looks like the pilot's default view is set a wee bit high...lots of front dash showing there and a big angle to look down at the gauges.

Odd in that I usually have to set the views a wee bit higher on most aircraft...I am betting the designer is over 6'5" tall. :D

I modified my view section as below:

[Views]
eyepoint= 0.0, -0.8, 2.3    //2.5  (hopefully that will drop the view by a couple/few inches)
zoom=1.0

Cheers.

Matt

nice one Phil, looks really good........no big issues? heard some had activation problems....should look good though as Dan (Thranda) from Carenado had a hand in the conversion...

No big issues at all and activation was no problem either.

For these shots i just moved the camera positions slightly but use a more realistic position for flying.

Only issue I have encountered is the turn and slip indicator ball doesn't move on mine.

It has a couple nice extra features in the VC...the door requires two latches to open before you can open the door itself, and the vent window needs to be unlatched, then opened.

oh, and I retreated to a setting of 2.4 instead of 2.3 for that final .cfg pilot viewpoint...2.3 was a wee bit too low.
