Johan van Wyk 7
Download this file and extract it (user_nav.dat) to your X-Plane 11/Custom Data folder. It will place the missing navaids in your X-Plane 11, but remember to delete this file after the MEBAR... you don't want 10-year-old navigational data hanging around in your X-Plane... serolrom 5
I have already flown my second leg. On the first one I did some dead reckoning (flying with a heading and a chronometer?). In the second one I changed my approach: I figured out the route in Plan-G and transposed the waypoints into the nearest ones in the latest AIRAC to use with my GPS. Turns out I'm having fun with figuring out my route one way or another, but your file is very welcome! I'll fly the third leg with navaids for a change Thank you!
Johan van Wyk 7
This is a good example why the MEBAR is well above any of the other Rallies. The routes are not spoonfed, in the MEBAR one is forced to go to the basics of proper flight planning and to use proper maps and methods.
