J G 927
Now that the Panavia Tornado is rapidly becoming a thing of the past I decided that I would like a small memento of an aircraft so much loved by me. A quick hunt on ebay and I had soon purchased this: It's the undercarriage leave from a Tornado. Having realized that the interphase with the aircraft was purely electrical, I set to with my trustee circuit tester to see if I could find a pin combination that worked like a switch when the leaver was used. About 15 seconds later I had a combination. Simple. So I set about wiring this into my PC and soon ended up with a working P3D gear leaver as can be seen below, Now the question is, How much would such a device cost from someone like Saitek? More than £30? I think so. Edited September 12, 2018 by J G
needles 1,013
Excellent job mate. I got a fan blade from a Harrier for my 60th bday off my son. Nice, but not as useful as yours. Well done.

J G 927
When I have flogged some stuff on ebay the next plan is to buy a Tornado Throttle box and see what I can do with that!
Tristarcaptain 282
Nice one, JG. I must admit that I have a soft spot for the Tornado too. The RAF certainly got their monies worth out of the Tonka!! I admit that I used Tornado as my call sign when I was into CB in the late 70's/Early '80's. So, I am now waiting for the Just Flight Tornado F3 (after the Vulcan of course!!!)) Martin
