G-GFLY 0
Hello, We have just released our first freeware add-on for Flight Simulator X. It's a repaint of Carenados Cessna 152 with the G-GFLY tail number. The real aircraft is actually a C150F. Available here http://www.oovee.co.uk
simi_av8r 0
i assume the repaint is FSX only?? Nothing for us FS9 users?
G-GFLY 0
Well I assume it will work on that too - All I can think of that will be different is a few lines of code in the aircraft.cfg
mutley 4,497
It looks really good GFLY, thanks for the link, shame I only have the C182RGII Cheers
greenk 0
Nice paint! My first repaint was of the 152 I fly. Didn't turn out too well since it was my first repaint!
hurricanemk1c 195
Looks good, but as Simmi says, there's still a lot of us with computers that can't run FSX well (or at all)
simi_av8r 0
Well I assume it will work on that too - All I can think of that will be different is a few lines of code in the aircraft.cfg it depends on the model too. Some newer FSX models (including some of Carenado's) have bump and specular mapping included as part of the model. If this is the case, they wont work at all under FS9. The texture format is important too. 32-bit BMP's are just dandy for FS9, but the new DXT5 that's used by FSX exclusively just cause a blank texture in FS9, or even cause a CTD in worst cases! I'll try it anyways and report back....thanks for the hard work G-GFLY! simi
