Okay today we will be joning the crew of a Qantas A330-200 for a relitivly short hop to Aukland int airport. You will be glad to know that the plane is relitivly new (2 years) old so no probs and it has just re-enterd sevice after a sceduled major inspection, and has only done 24 hours since. Loading at gate Just checking the FMC sorry no engine start forgot to press v anywho taxi to active almost there! climbing again forgot to press v on t/o :blush: Please step into my office still going! Dai got bored so took a pic of the engine. Don't know why he wasn't watching eastenders on the inflight entertainment while joe was trying to meanwhile I was cheaking the fmc and instruments. top of desent being vectored in. Told visual for today, cabin crew clear up. Landing cheaklist gear down, flap full, Spoiler armed ect ect TOUCHDOWN! on the brakes!! Taxi in had to hold for Korian 747 and an air new zealand link. Get off! Cold and dark. Flight time 3.5 hours FSX, VISTA C&C as ever Link to post Share on other sites

Just to let you know though that if you want a atwc leg be careful the e-mail address is playing up again. mine bounced 4 times then went but I have sent a pm to joe so he is aware EDIT, I have put the vote down to tomorow monday insteado tuesday. The red barron 41 Posted March 22, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 22, 2009 After your three week holiday in Auckland it's time to go home you make it back to the Airport in plenty of time. you then learn that I have put you in first class! how nice of me was that? ok you get on and away we go! just wating for the last people to get on. During the taxi I introduce my self "ladies and gentelmen welcome on board this Qantas Airbus A330-200 to sydney my name is Edward a.k.a the red barron And next to me is the first officer Joe (muley) and your cheif flight attendent is Sharron. (yep she go on to) Just holding short getting take off clearence. and pre-departure check list. Lined up so good afternoon boys! ROTATE! shouts Joe. to of which I reply V2 possitive rate gear up. Climbing away from the airport, Dai is lost in amongst the pilliows and has never had this much comfort before. Meanwhille upfront me and Mutley are doing after take off check list and that lot. Sharron whips out her camera and gets a shot of the engine and Auckland for no apparent reson other than to go on her bedroom wall. We are now crusing and Dai is still confussed by the fact that he can acsess the hanger from 33,000ft as we have wi-fi in first class :clap: but even better it's really fast so Dai is even more impressed Gareth gets borred and comes up to see me and Joe. 30 minuets later we are approching Sydney with a beautiful sunset to greet use Sharron has to clear up as we are about 15 minuets from landing so back to your seat people. Dai refuses to leave the flight deck so he sits in the jump seat but oh no his camara is in his hand luggage and the seat belt sign is on, oh well no landing shots then :nea: I then make the crew to seats anouncment, so in your seat Sharron. While joe does the spoiler and flaps iset the auto brake but Dai is insistent that he is the person who puts the gear down and gets his way. scince Dai forgot his camara :blush: there are no landing shots. as we taxi in Dai goes back to get his things for gate arrival and Sharron goes to the 2L door for gate arrival. mean while I do the whole welcome to sydney thing as Mutley has her under control. Gareth gets this shot as he makes his way to customs. I hope you enjoyed the flight and thank you for flying with Qantas C&C as always :smile: Link to post Share on other sites
