wisemanp 0
'Strange', you may think, 'Promoted to a Mod and then he's not on the forum for a week?' Well the truth is I've been skiing in northern Italy, in the town of Breuil-Cervinia, at the base of Mt Cervino, more commonly known as the Matterhorn. So, sit back and enjoy the ride! Our flight was TOM 2471, still operated by First Choice, from Manchester EGCC to Torino LIMF. Pushed back from Terminal 2. Crossing 23R with an American 777 vacating. A nice sunrise over England. Lovely views of the Alps. On the way into Torino. An Air Dolomiti Embraer Jet heads off to the runway. Some interest - A Russian TU-154 sits on the tarmac. A line-up of tails. The local airline. Our aircraft. The Russian again, as seen just getting on the coach.
grth_bbtt 0
Great photos Phil, thanks for uploading them Great to see how variable the weather is up in the mountains. Dont forget the First Choice & Thomson merger. I believe that Thomson still want an all Boeing fleet and arnt currently painting up the Airbus'.
allardjd 1,853
Great photo-journal, Phil. Nice shots all around. I guess the Russians can't afford inlet covers for all the engines? John

hurricanemk1c 195
Great shots Phil. Just watch your airline/arcraft stuff, a Air Canada 777 was the 777 turning off as you crossed 26, and the Russian is a Yak-42 or similar. A TU-154 holds approx. 200 people, however the Yak holds 50! But they still are great shots!
wisemanp 0
You are indeed correct on the YAK-42... just testing, as my teachers would say. However I can assure you it was definitely an American Airlines T7...
