Those French have an eye for the unusual, I wonder if any mind altering substances came in to play when she was being designed? But unusual/ugly is good and I love it

Well, if the cars they have made over the years are any indication, then the answer to that is a big YES.

if you list wine under mind altering substances then indeed, yes

and I love (some) French cars, I still own three..
