I liked the one about Bill Gates saying the spam problem being solved.  To be fair, it has gotten better but Apple has it down pat.

I was eleven when the first moon landing happened, amazing thing for a kid to see so started reading Popular Mechanics/Science magazines. Let's just say I am well aware of false predictions, those mags were full of them. I'm still waiting for the self-cleaning houses that was promised by the year 2000.
