Your favourite aircraft

Recommended Posts

OK, over to you.

Please post a screenshot of your all time favourite aircraft and maybe the reason why.

I've still to reload mine after re-building my PC recently so I will post one soon

People over at the Just Flight Forum may have seen this before but this is my favourite aircraft of all time. The way I was kicked back into my seat on take-off was unforgettable and I also got to visit the flight deck at 30 odd thousand feet  The best flight I've ever had.

One of my favourites I've just found in my back-ups, I just had to re-install.

As I'm still in Alaska I took the Canadian variant up (Well it's close!)

Threw her around and made a few snazzy manoeuvres

My little Thomson 757! I like sitting on the wing, it has the best air, and views. I like this plane as it is a lovely plane to fly on FS, and i love flying these when i go on holiday.

Hoorah for the 757. I flew on Thomsonfly's G-BYAX when I flew back from Geneva. I like them a lot, but I wasn’t blown away by Thomsonflys service. Still, at least their 757's are nicer than their 767's.

I would however like to point you in the direction of a new panel for that 757. The default 777 one you are using is very inaccurate, and although you will have to spend a little bit of time working out the switches, the panel I suggest will add much more enjoyment to that 757 of yours.

Search b75pvc.zip on flightsim.com if you are using the VC version of that aircraft or b75pnovc.zip if you are using the no VC version (the non VC panel adds side views)

Thanks mulletman, i will search. I am having problems with my computer at the moment, so i have to keep uninstalling FS9 and i have FSX, so it isnt always on there anyway. By the way, my graphics are not as good as half of the ones i have seen, how can i make this better, as i have all graphics aspects turned right up.

I have a couple of aircraft i prefer among all others, but there is only one queen, my beloved Dizzie. I have flown all over the world with her, and maybe some of you remember my longest travel with a C-47, the online flight from Greece to South Corea (in 12 legs, here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2061).

Here is a deja-vu:

Without a shadow of a doubt it has to be Concorde

47.jpg

Closely followed by The Vulcan.

When I was younger Concorde first captivated me as it flew into Leeds Bradford airport, my Grandma lives right under the ILS to rwy32 where the aircraft only have about 30 seconds to touchdown. We could always here her coming in to land long before we could see her, which gave us ample time to get out into the street to watch. The noise is just phenomenal and she looks so good no matter what angle you look at her. Now I am older and wiser I appreciate the engineering marvel that this aircraft is/was, the engineers back then had the skills, balls and financial backing to do what no-one can do today.

I think my best ever memory of Concorde and Vulcan was at an airshow in the 90's. Everyone else had gone home after the Red Arrows display, but we hung around to let the traffic clear. Concorde and Vulcan lined up practically nose to nose on the runway with the engines running, it was an awesome site and a real shame that I only have the image in my head and not on photo paper!

At this point in time it will have to be the Super 80 Pro. Why? Not only does it look good, fly well but the main thing that I love about it, is the way they incorporated their menu/help/config system. You can do everything without ever having to interupt your flight, no other plane to my knowledge has that kind of friendly menu option.

The MD-80
