CaptHill 0
Guys i'm really really struggling with looking for a new PC. I'm getting a new system for christmas and looking to run FS9 and FSX comfortably with very very good frame rates. I'm lookin at a budget of 1000 pounds. I ve been lookin at wired to fire and they seem very good. But i just feel overwhelmed with the decisions on what is best etc and i'm just lookin for some guidance so that i dont regret my purchase. I'm not in a postion to build my own so could anyone help me specify a wired to fire system or something similar which will meet my needs and give me the performaance i'm lookin for. Thanks for your help CaptHill

mutley 4,498
I can recommend Wired2fire systems as I have one myself. They really set the system up well and run it for a couple of days benchmarking the system and ensuring any overclocking is stable. The system Simi linked to looks really good and not a bad price either Windows 7 will be the way to go and officially released on Oct 23rd I think, I have my order in! ddavid 149
How about Alpine Systems? Check out their SSD option for max frame-rate.... Cheers - Dai.

simi_av8r 0
The product linked to from Wired2Fire is an i5... why? When you can buy an i7 for less..... Uncle M, i was merely suggesting a system from W2F Systems as originally mentioned by CaptHill. If i did all the digging for him, then there'd be no job left for you and the previous post wouldn't have been needed. Now you see, having done it my way we've got you're expertise involved as well...what a clever chappie i am

CaptHill 0
I think the quote below from the article is quite interesting......this selecting a new computer is quite hard really.....all i want to do is have excellent FSX performance and FS9 to be superb. I'm currently lookin around/writing to people for info at the manufacturers and I hope to run a poll soon with which system u think I should choose and why. Our early tests also show the new entry-level Core i5 750 is the one to watch when it comes to best bang for your buck... We only saw a performance difference of 5 percent between the Core i5 750 and the roughly $555 Core i7 870 (based on WorldBench 6 testing of the two CPUs on identical system builds). In fact, the Core i7 750's score of 127 falls right around the scores set by competing Value and Power PCs that use Core i7 920 processors.
