SlimNasty 0 Posted October 5, 2009 Report Share Posted October 5, 2009 Hi Guys, Got a little problem which has appeared this week, I have installed two new mega airports London Heathrow & Stockholm Arlanda from aerosoft (payware) and noticed that there were no aircraft st either. Then I noticed some lights taxiing to the runway but the plane was invisable, has happened at both airports, not sure if it is something I have done or if it is fixable, hope so as the airports are a lot better... I do have other bits installed like freeware aircraft, world of ai, VFR london, Airbus collector edition... and have more on the way... Any ideas, I can always take a screenshot, not sure how it would come out on here though.... Thanks in advance.... Link to post Share on other sites

I seem to remember you saying you had World of AI, it sounds as the AI is doing its stuff but cant display the aircraft textures. Link to post Share on other sites

I'm running Mega Airports Stockholm Arlanda X with Traffic X and can see all my traffic. Took a look at Aerosofts support forum, and it seems as this is a known issue in FSX with some AI-traffic solutions that uses FS9 AI-models. A suggestion was to try and disable the shadows for aircrafts. You can find more info here. Link to post Share on other sites

Interstingly after I reinstalled it following a full FSX re-install the AI appeared. I think it does have something to do with World of AI. Even though their uninstaller says it removes their aircraft, it doesn't! It took me ages to get Traffic X working properly because of their uninstaller not working correctly Link to post Share on other sites
SlimNasty 0 Posted October 6, 2009 Author Report Share Posted October 6, 2009 Thanks guys, Had a play with the settings and turning off shadows on aircraft seems to have work, the planes have re-appeared. Not sure if these planes are generated by World of AI or Air Hauler as both seem to generate traffic, this may also be having an effect, but will do for now. I do have 700+ aircraft still installed. The plan is when I get a new PC, probably next year, I will re-install only the ones I use the most, SlimAir versions hehe.... Anyway thanks again guys its appreciated... Must take forever for you to load the plane selection Yeah, I can make a cuppa while waiting Problem was I installed some aircraft I wanted, then found they were in fact packs, for instance a Tornado, which was infact 90+ liveries... I need to go through them, but it is being bothered, when playing Air Hauler you bypass the initial screen, so doesn't matter unless I just fancy going for a free flight somewhere...
