There were 3 locomotives on the head end, two more deep in the train, two more even deeper in the train and two more of the rear of the train. That's nine locomotives total, all run by one very good locomotive engineer. The train had 295 cars and 618 containers; 18,061 feet, 15,498 tons. An incredible 18,000 ft. (3 1/2 miles) long train ran last Saturday on the Union Pacific from Dallas, Texas to Long Beach California. Video taken by Richard Trujillo as the train raced through Ontario Ca..
