needles 1,013
Hi Sputnik', Great rig there mate. I notice you have a few inches of space above your PCs and the keyboard shelf. If you can raise your PCs off the floor a wee bit you will notice a drop in the amount of dust you collect in them. Dust drops to the floor then gets sucked in by your fans. It's made quite a difference to mine. Happy simming, Regards Needles
Sputnik421 0
Thanks Nedles. The flight sim computer case came with large feet, but could do with a chunk of 18mm ply to lift it a bit more. I will have to get round to sorting that, when I make a rig to stop my my CH pro peddles from moving. The internet computer is not put under much pressure so the cardboard, should not need to be changed for 18mm ply. The only temps that I have seen an increase in on the fan controller. Was the video card ones, but they had gone up by 10c so thought it was time to get the hover in there.

MartinW 0
MartinW's beloved contrivance. It is a bit different since I took these, just after the build. It now has an 850 watt Corsair PSU.
Sputnik421 0
Very nice it looks far to clean though, must have got more dust in it now. The feet also look a bit short, but with no bottom intakes you probably only need to lift it a small amount. I like the drive cooling fan on the front. I would need to remove a drive bay to get a fan under mine.
MartinW 0
Very nice it looks far to clean though, must have got more dust in it now It wasn't built long ago, so not much time to collect dust. However, when I installed the new PSU a few weeks ago, there was very little dust build up since I put it together. The Lian Li case has very good dust filters on all intakes. It's just a case of cleaning the dust of the front of the case, where the grills are. The feet also look a bit short, but with no bottom intakes you probably only need to lift it a small amount. The feet are short yes, I'd change them if i was bothered though. And there is a bottom intake below the PSU. However, i chose to invert the PSU with fan uppermost, as I wasn't to convinced about the adequacy of the intake below. I'm sure Lian Li designed it fit for purpose, but I'm fussy. It's on the bottom shelf of a PC desk, so not on a carpet. I have to say, it
mutley 4,498
Ok, this my pit as it is this afternoon. This room is under redevelopment at the moment it's usually a lot messier! The PC on the left is the behemoth with the i965 extreme processor and is driving the two screens. There is a smaller cased PC one on the right which is my old PC Quad 6600 attached to my home network. As you can see there are no nails on my pedals! When I get to clean my PC's I will post a shot of the Cooler Master cased PC. Cheers
