Boeing 757 Overhead Panel!

As you *may* have seen in my Part3 Leg10 ATWCIII Post, I clircled a portion of the 757 Overhead. This is the part that will be first constructed. If you didn't see it, here it is again:

I have, literally 5 minutes before this post, ordered Leo Bodnar's BU0386X Joystick Controller Card, which will be the heart of the Overhead Panel. It provides all the interfacing between switches, knobs, rotary encoders on the overhead and the PC.

This is different to my current B747 Pedestal project as I am making the parts myself, not buying them pre-built.

Please note, in no way whatsoever has the Pedestal been ditched, it is still undergoing construction. This is just another project I'm undertaking.

Captain Sim's 757 will be using for the Software Simulation side of things.

Thanks very much, I will answer all questions,

Regards,

Jack :winka:

Good luck with that Jack. Can I ask why are you building a 747 pedastal but a 757 overhead?

You could've also asked why I have a 737 Transponder! :winka:

Good question. It is because I am building a "universal" cockpit, ie not emphasising on one aircraft.

Just a note, the first cut for the overhead panel will be made on Thursday, and possibly (no guarentees) the first working switches will be implemented at the weekend.
