In flight ATW019 Rob made a courageous landing into Lukla.

As he was making a mad dash for the bar he was taken aside by members of the Nepalese security force and was given this message

Those of us here in Nepal have heard of your so called Around The World 'Challenge'. We've been keeping up to date with it on the BBC website, but we don't think that it is a challenge. Most of your airports seem a bit too easy to land and depart from. We would like to offer you a real challenge here in Nepal. You don't have a choice really because we will not let you leave Lukla with the Baton until the challenge has been completed. We are going to give you some nice little airports to fly into, just to see if you really are up to the challenge. Once you arrive back at Lukla we will give you the Baton back so you can carry on around the world.

They thought we were going to renege on the deal so they dragged Dai out of the bar, well from under table as he had drunk 2 1/2 pints of Tibetan Old Knee-wobbler and locked him away with the baton with just his joystick and a copy of FS98 to play with. (That's how advanced they are)

I have since had an official communication via our office in Geneva to confirm they have Dai under lock and key until we complete the task so he cannot post in the ATWC until we get back

So everyone, please help us get the baton back! Oh, and er free ddavid as well :danceb:

Hi Mut'

How important is Dai to the cause??????

Should we just let him sweat it out a wee while first :danceb:

Ok! I will bid but obviously I will defer to other pilots waiting for a go.

Thanks, Guys! Your assistance is appreciated - much as I enjoy contemplating my navel as I listen to the monks' prayer chants, it'll be good to get back to the real virtual world.....

See y'all soon..... :thum:

Cheers - Dai.

Thanks Rob but we have just received a coded message from "008" he is on his way to Yongphulla to meet up with Kieran :thum:

We now have a full compliment of pilots so the stage is set.

Let's make it a good 'un for Dai, we have to put a good show for the Nepalese so no presure there then

Cheers

/001
