mutley 4,498
I have have been busy creating a toolbar which may be useful to some of our members. Main features are- [*:1fvuh6v8] Embedded Google search - No explanation required.[*:1fvuh6v8] Pre-defined components - 1 Click link to Route Finder, Links to specific Mutley's sections like the home page, forum, ATWC etc then external inks to Navdata Airport finders, airliners.net Photobucket etc.[*:1fvuh6v8] On-line chat room (Not monitored or moderated) so you can strike up a quick convo on online.[*:1fvuh6v8] Useful components - Shortcut icons to Media Player, MSN Messenger, Word,Excel etc[*:1fvuh6v8] Personal Components - Email checker. Will check Pop 3 accounts (As many as you like) Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail. Pop-up blocker and weather forecasts.[*:1fvuh6v8] News ticker - Straight from me to you, could be an *urgent* message![*:1fvuh6v8] Gadgets - You can add other button for Wikipedia for example. It works in Firefox and Internet Explorer, it is un-installable. Also I can add extra links if you feel there is something you would like to see on it. Have a go, you might like it! Click on picture below to go to the download page. Enjoy! Any questions please ask, any feedback much appreciated Cheers

mutley 4,498
My toolbar looks like this, I've set up the email check, now that's really useful for me. I've also added a gadget which you get to by clicking the drop down arrow to the right of the logo. Finally a short cut to media player, Word, Excel, Notepad and MSN! If you find any useful gadgets, post them here Cheers
mutley 4,498
Thanks to Sam and John for trying out the Mutley's Hangar chat room this afternoon, it worked really well! Cheers
allardjd 1,853
It seems to work as advertised. So far I like it and I'll be using it. You might want to add this to the "downloads" menu on the MH home page. Nice idea putting the MH ATWC link in there. I usually have to go looking for that. Suggested links: Just Flight? MS Flight Sim Home? The Flight Planning Tab is fertile ground for a menu of all sorts of things; planners; charts; weather sites; freeware (AC, scenery, liveries). Is it possible to make a menu tree below the bar items? The chat window pops up a new browser. Is there any way to make it just add a tab to the existing browser? In the list of search terms at the top of the chat window I note "buffoon". There must be a story there. John
B77W 0
Maybe adding a UK Charts section with a Mut's Hangar login? For example, W: http://www.ais.org.uk L: Mutleys P: Hangar
mutley 4,498
Nice one Sam, keep em coming. John what browser are you using?
allardjd 1,853
Sam, The links to the MH main page and to the Forums page are already there, under "Links". John
mutley 4,498
If you click the toolbar logo it takes you to my home page

mutley 4,498
I'm using IE7.John John, the opening of a new window when clicking the links and chat window and the scrolling text problem should now be fixed. I can move all the flight planning related links to under the flight planning button. Consider this Work In Progress  ============================== Sam, I am looking into the AIS link, I'm pretty sure we already have a log in that was set up by Dave but I will have to check. The mail checker for Hotmail apparently doesn't work since the new live messenger service was launched and it definitely would not work if you were already logged in to MSN or Hotmail. I would suggest you add the MSN icon to the toolbar but if you have MSN logged in then you will get alerts anyway  Any more toolbar link suggestions please post them here! Cheers
allardjd 1,853
That's a nifty little pull-down for the ATWC status. The little AC icon looks suspiciously like the C-123. John
mutley 4,498
Thanks John, maybe it is a C123! The toolbar is still very much work in progress so I am constantly tweaking it. I am still open for any suggestion on extra content (Without overcrowding it that is  ) Cheers

mutley 4,498
For all users of Firefox there is a toolbar update available. The good news is the email notifier for your Live Hotmail inbox appears to be fixed. I haven't tried it yet in Internet Explorer, if any one uses I.E does it work now? Cheers
