Air Berlin Flight 8103 - Stockholm Arlanda to Berlin Tegel

Recommended Posts

Two screenshot post from me in the same night.. I think that's a first..

This is a recreation of a flight a flew earlier in the year (as close as i got it). It also features my last three add-ons:

The JF/CLS A320, one of five airports in Aerosofts German Airports 3 and Aerosoft AES.

Also in the shots is actually the first add-on I got for FSX. Aerosoft Mega Airport Arlanda...

But I can hear your complaints.. less talking and more shots..

Parked at Gate 65 at ESSA. Unlocking AES at ESSA also adds animated jetways so you actually can board the plane ;)

A busy time of day in Stockholm..

AES also adds a ground handler that follows you through push back and lets you know when it's safe to start your engines...

201095124616659.jpg

..and a push back truck that actually knows how to put you in a good position to start your taxi..

20109512472102.jpg

A goodbye wave from our handler, and we can start our taxi..

201095124749203.jpg

A very acurate model of ESSA.. but I think one pier is missing.. not sure though..

201095125054708.jpg

Climbing out to the south.. and UTX does a great job of placing the roads and railways, but I'm missing the golf course that should be behind my right engine...

I think I could point out my home with pretty good accuracy in this shot..

Stockholm Bromma (ESSB) and central Stockholm of my left side.

20109513126740.jpg

Closing in on my first waypoint. The TRS VOR some 80 KM south of Stockholm

20109513114824.jpg

Just cruising...

20109513202548.jpg

Leaving the swedish mainland behind and closing in on the ToD.

20109514535354.jpg

Not to far over the Baltic sea to Germany

20109514324938.jpg

Gears coming down, flaps fully deployed. RWY 8L is what we're aiming for..

201095145023805.jpg

Almost there.. and the TV-tower is visible on the horizon.

201095145417666.jpg

Letting the computer guide us down almost all the way.

201095145448741.jpg

And once safe on the ground and of the runway AES kicks into gear again and provides a follow me truck. Just tell him what gate or parking you want to go to, and tag along with him..

But he might choose another route than the one ATC gave you!!

201095145737897.jpg

Taxiing along and enjoying the scenery.. I think we parked in that occupied spot on the left edge when I flew there in January.

20109514585349.jpg

A pyramid(!), and the service hangar..

201095145943896.jpg

Almost at my parking spot on the backside of the main terminal..

20109515020432.jpg

and then there were no more shots.. I was pretty sure I got at least one of the ground handler guiding me in, but I guess I got the wrong key...

Hope you enjoyed it.

Hi Micke,

I like your commentary and I am always impressed at your command of the English language :thum:

I have often thought about getting AES but I don't really fly from the big airports enough but it seems to serve you well.

Looking at your shots I notice that FS has introduced the brown and yellow vegetation now, that's so depressing! Next will be winter.

What I do like is all those lakes you have, you live in a beautiful country ;)

Thanks or posting :good:

Cheers

Thanks guys..

I can recommend AES, to bad the coverege of supported airports for FSX is still on the low side. Especially if you look at freeware add-ons that cost no credits for activation.. in FS9 the choice of free airports is much larger. If you want to try it out the default Nuremberg airport is free to activate for full AES support. The 10 credits I bought was enough to add AES-functions to ESSA, ELLX and all five airports in German Airports 3 (Berlin Tegel, Hamburg, L
