petermcleland 48
I took the BBJ3 to Anchorage today to practice FMC management...Here are some shots I took along the way:- I was hoping for a few glimpses of... ...the Alaska Cinematic scenery... ...along the way. It was cloudy but very pretty. The VNAV is controlling the descent and now we have cleared the cloud... ...and are executing the STAR for Anchorage Runway 14. Fully established now on the ILS, with both autopilots engaged and Flare armed. It is a bit tight behind that one touching down ahead... ...but I squeezed in OK and am parked. Thanks for looking

petermcleland 48
Peter, could you tell which fuel planner your using to fly your BBJ? Beautifull shots by the way Well I have fitted front and rear AUX tanks in the holds and I have reduced the baggage load to set the weight at the Max Gross Weight permitted. Then I just go anywhere that gives me a reasonable forecast destination landing fuel in the FMC...For short trips like this PAMA to PANC I just don't bother to refuel for the return leg back to PAMA. I don't really need a fuel planner...The FMC will tell me what fuel I will arrive at the destination with, and if it is not enough then I'll just fill the tanks
RB16015 0
That's one way to do it, but I am planning to fly from EHAM to KBOS with it. So I need to plan my fuel as well.
petermcleland 48
That's one way to do it, but I am planning to fly from EHAM to KBOS with it. So I need to plan my fuel as well. With my pair of Aux tanks, I would simply load full fuel for that trip and it would at max allowable take-off weight automatically and would easily go from EHAM to KBOS against a strongish wind. For the return you could load a bit less than full fuel unless fuel is cheaper at Boston, in which case full fuel again. My Pax load is 32 and crew 6. With 7937 lbs baggage in front and 5903 lbs in the rear. My full fuel load is 69989 lbs and the Gross Weight is 185700 lbs.
