Well spotted, Simi - I think we'll have to call you Hawk-Eye - like the surgeon in M*A*S*H - and, of course, the hero of J. Fennimore Cooper's 'Last of the Mohicans'. There you go, mate, over to you.........

Cheers - Dai. :???:

Dai, i was kidding, is it seriously Filton??

Wow, what a guess, i had actually thought of it being Cardiff International, but then remembered it has 3-storeys - i went there once for a days spotting trip whilst visiting Snowdonia. I gave the wife the plastic and told her to go shopping for the day at the Duty Free, suited her just as it did me! - so it couldn't have been Cardiff.

As for the Hawk Eye comment, im often refereed to as 'Hawk Eye Stevens' at work due to my ability to spot a 4mm screw with a 0.5mm screw head rolling about on the floor, should one of the engineers drop it from their magnetic screw drivers!

I'll have a gander around FS9 soon as i can and will post the next one soon after!

i see........ it appears that you're all waiting for a clue on this one

Well, Excel Airways (now XL.com) do not fly here, i just loved the CS 757 in the livery and if id chosen another it may have given it away...so theres your first clue...

as for number two, this destination becomes extremely popular during certain times of year.

Lapland Intl? I don't think they have an ICAO but I thought I spotted some Reindeer poo

reindeer poo?? darn, i thought i'd told the cleaners to do a full sweep of the airfield!

im not sure there is a "Lapland International" mut...and if there is, i'd need the ICAO to cross-reference it against the actual airport..... unless of cuorse you are making it up ??

hmm, seems this one may have a few of you fellas foxed well and good.

Ok, clues 3, 4 and 5 on there way... quickfire!

3 - It is both the countrys and regions' northern most airport

4 - In 2005, more than 152,000 passengers passed through the airport

5 - The airport lies at 482feet AMSL and has 2 main runways.

so, who's first up to the soap box with a guess?

Phil... you've beaten me this time!

I do have to say though, that Mut was very close with 'Lapland International', however as Ivalo isn't referred to, nor called this i couldn't let it go, but it was indeed a valiant effort and oh so close to taking the mince pies and milk!!

my next clue would have been...

"once a year, this friendly gentleman does a round-the-world dash from this airport. A scrambled F-16 pilot managed to capture took this picture of the fellow on his travels:

Congrats Phil, you're up next, were we headed to?
