mutley 4,498
The engine was running a little hot on taxi and the engine blew up, I should have not hung around admiring her so much! Next step, trying to get to the runway in one piece :th_smiles73: Superb addon
RB16015 0
That's the second when which went up in smoke. First JK chrashed his one and now this. Perhaps you guys should take some lessons before you go running down the airfield and jump in :th_smiles73:
hurricanemk1c 195
'Oopps -I did it again.......' You stupid boy Joe! That engine is expensive!

mutley 4,498
RTFM is why I was on the ground so long! The manual says that you should be in the air within 7 - 8 minutes after start up so navigating those complicated taxiways is not an option, just park on the grass near the runway! Here are some more, this is a fantastic model, a VC to "Dai" for! The centre 6 panel vibrates at a noticably different rate than the rest of the cockpit if the engine is running rough, Got her fixed double quick! Cheers, Joe
jankees 917
Excellent shots! did you try the Mk.1 yet? retracting the landing gear is a lot of work suddenly...
mutley 4,498
Ha ha! The Mk1 is tomorrows challenge! I don't think I have ever seen a model as good as this, that Merlin has my whole house shaking, especially with the flypasts!

hurricanemk1c 195
Now, next challenge - land it on a carrier! Now me let have a look at me log books for IL-2 and see how many enemy a/c shot down in the Vb Seafire! Great shots anyway!
Soya 7
Lovely series, might need to check this a/c out and add it to my collection. Thanks for sharing Joe.
JD_LincsUK 0
Nice pics, Joe. I hope to get this one day - just way too busy with other FS stuff at the moment, and continually scolding myself for having much more than I can ever use. Mind you, I still haven't got to grips with the P-47, B-377 and B-17 yet - all with accusim But I know how you feel - I've 'blown-up' several of Iris's lovely PC-9s and T-6's before the end of the runway. :001_th_smiles48: All good fun. Looks a luvvly bird :001_th_smiles89: JD
Aidan 1
Fantastic Shots Joe! I love raising the gear manually :001_th_smiles89:
