Hi JD,

You may want to hold on a while, Micke has had this product to review for a while and I think he has mixed feelings about it.

Watch out for the review in the next few weeks.

Cheers,

Joe

Like Joe said I'm doing a review of Iceland at the moment so if you can hold on for a few weeks you'll get my thoughts on it.

If you want advice in advance drop me a PM. I don't want to spill to much of my work on the forum before the review goes live.

Purely from looking at screenshots and reading comments in various forums, it's a vast improvement over the default, but lags behind Orbx in terms of quality and technique.

If I was going to fly in Iceland a lot (even if it's just for transatlantic stopovers), I'd prob90 get it, simply because the default is so dire. But if you're thinking of waiting for someone else to produce a "better" version, I think you'll have a very long wait.

Yeah, I'll probably give it a miss - depending on the review, as well. There are so many nice areas to run a base in.

Thanks for you vote of confidence Joe...

But i'm still a bit bummed out that he beat me to it ;)

And without spilling to much I can say that I wont be quite as positive as the AVSIM reviewer. Don't read to much into it, it's a good product, but there are some flaws in my opinon...

I saw his review within hours of it being published - but didn't read it. When I learned you were doing one, I lost any possible inclination to read the AVSIM one. ;)

Not that I'm saying their reviews are no good - but I have found myself disagreeing with them more often than not.

Us Brits are a little less forgiving, methinks, especially where the talk is of payware.
