David TRIGGS 0
Hello All, Can anyone tell me what the function of "reputation - (up to 5 stars!)" is, in the MEMBERS heading? And why am I at "ZERO" ... !! David

mutley 4,495
Hi David, To be honest we don't use the reputation system so I have turned it off to save confusion. -_-
Andrew Godden 943
Hi David, To be honest we don't use the reputation system so I have turned it off to save confusion. -_- Thank for that, otherwise I would forever be sitting on the bottom rung of the reputution ladder!!! rob16584 42
But it doesn't say if 5 stars means a good or bad rep
ddavid 149
Sounds like we need another Referendum, Boss! Reputation, Reputation, Repitition... Cheers - Dai.
mutley 4,495
Well I think it's awful, what happens is you can vote up or vote down posts and consequently their author gets a reputation of, from low to high, Bad, Poor, Neutral, Good, or Excellent. I don't like the idea of voting someone down, it is so negative for such an up-beat positive and friendly forum. That's my
mutley 4,495
... What I could do is turn off the negative aspect so posts can only get a positive vote if deserving? Compromise?!
David TRIGGS 0
Merde alors!! I seem to have stirred up a hornets' nest? ... I agree with you, Joe, that it's better to remain positive (on such a subjective matter!!) I'm relieved that my zero reputation is not a bad thing (even if I am only a "Ground Handler" ...... !!??!! mutley 4,495
Zut alors David! Ah, Ground Staff rank is good, enjoy your freedom as with stars comes responsibilities!! Cheers Joe
allardjd 1,853
No rep, please. Opinionated curmudgeons/geezers like me are not likely to fare well. I know I'm annoying - no need to rub it in. John
Andrew Godden 943
It's at this point I could come out with some dinky di, ripsnorting, Aussie slang to describe voting someone up or down. However, this being such a friendly Forum, my conscience forbids me and what's more, my reputation would be tarnished. :th_smiles73: Andrew
