PanzerFodder 0
I’m new to Muttleys Hanger, so thought I would post a few shots of what I like to do in FSX, to break the ice so to speak. In the shot below, I'm following the M5 North and am just north of the Severn Bridge, Aircraft is a Dornier Do-27, the yellow fields to my left look like Rapeseed growing, that brought back a few happy memories from when I lived down in the west country . PanzerFodder 0
Nice shots! The Digital Aviation Do-27 really is a great aircraft. Thanks for the comments, I agree about the Do-27, it's a really nice plane to fly around in, it's just pity that the FSX version has a few bugs that the developers at digital aviation never bothered to sort out , but apart from that I love the thing . Here's another shot of the Do-27, if you look below the plane you can see Cadbury Castle, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadbury_Castle,_Somerset This was quite close to were I used to live in Somerset. I have visited this place in person a few times, as I have an interest in old iron age forts, and it was a real buzz for me to be able to find it by air in FSX, I'm planning to look for all the other hill forts that I knew as well Cheer's...Graham... mutley 4,498
Hi PF I can appreciate that buzz of seeing things you recognise in FS, it must be even more poignant when you are no longer resident, you should be able to find many more hill forts and Tors :001_th_smiles89:
PanzerFodder 0
It bloody well is Joe, I've only be in Canada for a few years and I miss the West Country badly at time's Classic example below, this is the town of Langport showing how the river Parret runs around it, I used to spend half my life down there fishing! and the other half fishing on another river "LOL" Cheer's...Graham... PanzerFodder 0
Another Hill fort from my cockpit, this one is Maiden Castle in Dorset http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maiden_Castle,_Dorset it's a awesome place to visit, and is reported to be the largest hill fort in Europe, makes you wonder how the heck did they build these places with no machines! just shear muscle power and determination I guess :phew: Cheer's...Graham...
