mutley 4,497
I seem to have cured problems with my sim, now sure how but ..gift horse and all that. The weather was pretty typical of what we had here in the south, sunshine and showers, managed to stop the Super Cub on the numbers when landing! Enjoy! A small video half way through as well. This is what the weather was like. Viewing of video not compulsory as it's not really that good!
pacinka 0
Nice shots! I'm glad the weather cleared for the landing.

Tim_A 997
Nice set of pics. M3 - A34, Stay away from Harwell, and wave as you pass the power station. Easy peasy! :icon_rockon: Right hand circuit for runway 19 (or you'll infringe Brize Norton), and caution Weston on the Green: the danger area is active 24/7 with meat bombing from 14000ft. But, 7 miles further and you would have reached somewhere truly worth visiting (I know, cos that's where I've been all day!) :icon_thumbup: Actually, considerably less, cos you flew over Blenheim Palace and some way past it into default territory... Oh, and you'd be shot RW for standing around on the apron at Kidlington-- sorry, London Oxford-- without a highly flammable yellow vest on. They have no sense of humour. (at Enstone you'd be laughed at if you were wearing one)
allardjd 1,853
Great flight, shots and video. Re the last shot - that must be the tallest Piper Cub in the world or the shortest people. Their head don't even come to the cowl ports. It's a low camera angle, I know, but from where their feet are, something sure looks out of whack. John
allardjd 1,853
...and wave as you pass the power station. Tim - are you a utility guy? John
mutley 4,497
Thanks for the comments guys :icon_thumbup: @Tim, VFR, I have followed that course many times and the cooling towers are such a give-away and I always remember to wave and I am concious you might be listening in! I had filed my plan IFR (Yes I know PA-18 what radio nav equipment? ) and followed Radar Controls's vectoring but (As was very astute of you to notice I havent re-installed Vol 2 og Gen X) I had started to head off north so called in visual approach for 19. But, 7 miles further and you would have reached somewhere truly worth visiting Upper Heyford possibly?All-in-all, a very enjoyable flight, Cheers, Joe
Tim_A 997
@John: No, it's just the easiest way to spot my house! @ Joe: Enstone!

rob16584 42
Superb shots Joe Is radar contact worth the money? It's one of those that i've been 50/50 about for a long time
mutley 4,497
I love it Rob, it's head and shoulders above the FSX ATC, of course, I don't fly online so it's perfect for me, it's one of those must haves in my opinion.
allardjd 1,853
I agree with Joe on RC. It's very well done. Combine it with Voice Activated Commands and it's pretty close to reality. They've been working on version 5 since I bought version 4 about 3 years ago or more, so I wouldn't wait for that. You can download their very extensive user manual from their site if you want a peek at it before buying. John
