Country flag in profile

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just noticed that I have the flag of the United Kingdom in my profile, which I did not have there before. I know how to select my country, but is there any way to get rid of the flag feature altogether?

Thank you in advance.

Hi John,

UK is the default, there is England, Scotland and Wales. However, I have added a blank selection at the top of the list, if you do not want a flag select the blank country, this can now be changed in your profile.

Cheers

Joe

Thanks Joe, that was quick!

Needles, it might seem like a good idea to many, but I just don't like putting too much information about myself in the "cloud". You never know where the information could end up. smile.gif

You do if you ever look at the recent news stories! Sony already 'gave away' all of my information...

Easily solved - just put out bogus information instead! Pick a flag from a random country and try to find the most interesting one :icon_thumbup: (that's if every country has a flag included on the board).

“There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one’s safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn’t, but if he were sane he had to fly them. If he flew them he was crazy and didn’t have to; but if he didn’t want to he was sane and had to. Yossarian was moved very deeply by the absolute simplicity of this clause of Catch-22 ….”

— Joseph Heller (Catch-22)

Quite a dilemma, eh? But then, in the country of the blind, the one-eyed man is king - nes pas?

Cheers - Dai.

I totally respect John's wishes, "no flag" should be an option, adding the flag was a whim of mine, it should not have impacted on existing members as it is not compulsory.

However, I like the feature and if anyone joining the forum finds they cannot find their country flag I will do my utmost to reproduce it
