Lukemeister 6
Whatever happened to good old traditional British engineering? Parked up at Shoreham, the smell of oil pungent in the air *bsccckkkk VROOM* Our Merlin engine kicks in! A copper chopper! what a whopper! We wait for the train to pass before taking off, our pilot is a bit of a spotter! Lined up with the runway..let's go! We take off pulling away from Shoreham Old and new... Almost instantly we see the disused oil tanker that the Royal Navy have parked near Brighton to re-enact a ship interception... Dagga dagga dagga dagga! those commies are going in the drink! *screech* back down to reality with a bump Engines shut down, fuel cut off. Till next time!
Martyn 9
Whatever happened to good old traditional British engineering? British 'Waste of Space' ... sorry I mean British Aerospace.... was created! Some great shots there, its a shame the developers of the Shoreham scenery went bust!
allardjd 1,853
Luke, Cool! I like it. Do more! Just in case you missed the memo, the commies are not the adversary of choice any more, though choosing a tanker points in the right direction. John
mutley 4,498
Brilliant Luke  I saw that "Copper Chopper" in action last weekend displaying at the airshow. I REALLY enjoyed these, great fun too, thanks for posting. It is a shame OSS have gone to the wall or we could have had a FSX version for FCX Martyn? Cheers
ddavid 149
Great fun, LukeM - you have a sense of humour sometimes lacking in our more serious minded Hangarians!! As for the c*mmies, I think they may be making a come back - watch UK gas prices........ Cheers - Dai.
Lukemeister 6
That's for the really kind comments everyone. Martyn, that's such a shame that they have gone out of business... Shoreham is probably (actually, definitely) the best GA airport scenery, it's mindblowing how they could get such detail but keep frames fluid! John, I wasn't really sure what to do for a storyline, and we had been learning about the cold war in the 40's at school so it's a sort of mish mash of things! Mr Mut, I'm honoured to get such positive feedback from you (and everyone else) I hope it didn't come across as though I was ripping your schmittfire idea off, I simply thought it was a great theme and hoped to recreate it! David, thanks, but are you sure? all the people on this board seem to be very friendly and humorous to me! Finally, a thanks to everyone, it's hard to post screenshots on this forum because so many of you set the standard really high!
