PanzerFodder 0
Hi All. I have just completed a 3 day tour of Northern England with the software that Needles (Brian) was kind enough to send to me. (Thanks Brian, I'm loving every minute of it :001_th_smiles89: ) For this tour the photo scenery was set to Summer time, with real world weather and I was touring in the Kodiak sporting my own paint scheme . Day 1: VFR Warton to Carlisle. Day 2: VFR Carlisle to Newcastle Day 3: VFR Newcastle to South Cave. Day 3: (Evening Flight) South Cave to Liverpool. I was surprised by the huge variation of the ground scenery in the North of England, ranging from open moorland to wooded hillsides, then farmland to huge industrial areas around the Cities. This proved to be a very enjoyable tour for me and I will definitely being doing some more flying in the North of England very soon (look out Sabre, I'm on you patch m8y ). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVZ9I5GEY5M Cheer's...Graham... needles 1,013
Hey Graham, I've just sorted out why I couldn't see your post. Flash player does not work with my 64bit setup. I have installed Google Chrome and it runs fine with that, so I suppose it's also an IE9 quirk also. Just watched your post. Excellent mate and thanks for the credits. Glad you like it. PanzerFodder 0
Thanks for the comment Brian, and thanks again for sending the software over to Canada as it's almost impossible to find here :001_th_smiles89: . I bought UTX Europe as a download from Flight1 a couple of weeks ago, and have discovered that is you have the "UTX night lighting" above your photo scenery in the "FSX Scenery Library" it gives you traffic lights and street lighting. I think this enhances the photo scenery a whole lot when flying at night . (would think this idea will work with the Horizon scenery as well?). Added a couple of screen shots to show you what I mean. Leeds and Bradford area at dusk. Just south of Newcastle on a very dark night ( Probably caused by all that brown ale evaporating into the air and causing the sky to turn dark brown ) . I don't recall giving you permission to overfly my domain As you discovered it is a very varied landscape, it's not all pit heaps and whippets. The Northumberland area is very beautiful indeed. Nice tour Graham, really enjoyed the slideshow, very relaxing I might try it out myself
