PanzerFodder 0
Here's a few shots of a flight I just did on Vancouver island with my new A2A Piper cub. Scenery is the default FSX with GEX North America and UTX Canada. Real world weather provided by the REX weather engine. The flight plan taken from the onboard map in the Piper Cub A slow climb away from Duncan airfield (and it was a very slow climb in the piper cub, as well "LOL" ) first bit of really nice scenery was when I hit Cowichan lake. another shot of Cowichan lake, this time looking down the lake from Caycuse. Just as i got into the mountains the weather started to turn nasty and the poor little cub was getting blown all over the place. Still having some low clouds and a bit of lighting as well, so the shot of the McLaughlin peaks does not look to impressive. Almost at the end of the flight as I fly over Port Alberni, and I can just see my destination in the distance. (I think that GEX and UTX are working well here  ) last shot and the Piper cub is down safely and parked next to the wind sock, I took a shot of it because the wind sock was the only man made thing at this airfield "LOL" I also gave this plan to Sabre, so maybe he would like to post a few shots of his flight in this thread as well? it would be nice to see if there are any big differnces between the FSX default scenery and the GEX/UTX combo, and I think that he did his flight in the A2A Spitfire as well  Cheer's...Graham... PS: I'm having one hell of a bad time trying to post screen shot's since the website was upgraded, and also I can't see some of the shot's once posted untill I refresh the page a few time's??? mutley 4,498
Hi Graham, a super set of shots, you got the sim looking really good in my opinion, that's a good advert for GEX/UTX! What problem are you having posting shots? You should just be able to Photobuckets generate link codes feature and copy and paste in the code for full size images under the "IMG for bulletin boards & forums" section. The refresh thing may be an issue with Photobucket or the images still being downloaded to your PC, do you preview your posts before posting? This should pull the images down so you see them in the review window and your post. There's not a lot I can do unless this is an issue for a lot of members as the forum Developers have to be able to replicate. Have you tried a different forum theme? I don't think for a minute it would help though as it uses the same core code. Sorry I can't help more, I hope it gets better. Joe
Sabre 28
Great shots Graham very nice indeed. I did complete the flight in the Spitfire but I'm not sure if I took any screenshots - I'll take a look later when I get in from work. If I haven't I'll fly it again just for comparison. I bet it took a while in the Cub though. I've been tempted by GEX and UTX for those areas where I haven't got photo scenery so this may help. The posting screenshots issue is a bit odd, I haven't had any bother at all. Just upload to Photobucket then just copy the bottom link with IMG tags on and paste into topic. Very strange, maybe it was something to do with being up at 4:00 am

PanzerFodder 0
Thanks for the comments and advice on posting photo's Guys. I have been useing the photobucket "Direct link" and then useing the add image button, (must say that was the method that worked for me before, and on other sites as well, but I should add the photobucket does seem to be a bit slow and clunky these days so maybe the problem is there! I don't have any problems at all viewing other peoples shot's on this site, so I'll try copying the photobucket bottom link with IMG tags next time, just to see if that makes any difference . Thanks again...Graham... PS: @ Joe, when I look at my posts with more than 3 images, one or two places where the image is supposed to be is blank!, if I refresh the screen the image does show up, but then the one I could see before is gone it's a bit odd, but as I said above, it only seems to be happening with images that I have posted myself, everybody elses shots are OK . charlie 6
Nice job Graham. If you like flying this area, go take a look at vancouver Island virtual airlines. I've logged around 45 hours with them, it's a relaxed atmosphere.
